Birkenstocks never disappoint! I wear a ladies’ size 7 and I now have three pairs of sandals in 38, they fit me perfectly. (I have narrow feet, so I did purchase the 38 narrow size.) These copper colored Arizonas are gorgeous and were definitely worth the splurge. My only advice is that if you get them make sure you know how you want them to fit… snug or on the looser side. They will stretch and the buckles will leave a mark on the leather. I wish I had kept the straps tighter and had let them stretch. At first I thought I had them too tight so I wore them looser. They got too loose for my liking and when made them tighter, I noticed the buckles had already marked the leather and now I can’t do anything about it.

I wanted better beach chanclas cuz my Nike Slides weren’t cutting it. They’d get wet and I’d slip around in them. The strap also retained water so they would smell like mildew after the beach. I got these to wear around the house and short trips to the beach but they are so comfortable I wear them everywhere. I was worried they would make loud fart noises like some of the reviews said, but they don’t for me at all. Actually the reason I love them is because they don’t make slapping noises when walking down stairs. I’ve done city, beach, and flat outdoor walking in them and they are so comfortable. I don’t recommend them for any kind of rough terrain or rainforest hikes, for that I wear Tevas. But unlike Tevas, these dry quick. I have worn them as shower shoes and they don’t stink or slip like every other chancla I’ve owned. Even the Tevas slip and smell bad when you get them wet and don’t dry them outside. I wear these with jeans, chinos, sweatpants, shorts, bathing suits and like the way they look. It took a few tries to get the right size, they might run a tiny bit large, but I have skinny feet so the narrow ones fit perfectly

I have 2 other pairs of Birkenstock sandals and a pair of clogs, and I love these more than I thought I would. I bought them in matte black as an alternate for my black Teva flip flops I always wear. They are even more comfy than regular birks because of the foam-like material; I go for walks in them all the time. It does feel bizarre how lightweight they are since I am used to my regular birks, but they fit just as well and are just as supportive. I was confused between the men’s/women’s sizing since usually they are considered unisex, but I ordered my normal size 41 under the “women’s” category and they fit just like my others. The only thing I don’t love about them is they seem a little static-y, like they attract dust and bits of dead leaves if I walk through grass, gravel, etc. Not sure if this will discontinue the more I wear them, but my regular flops occasionally do this too, so maybe it’s just the nature of the material. Overall, a fantastic buy for the price and super on-trend right now! 🙂
